In the Anglo-Saxon language (Old English) the word doom meant law as well as fate or consequence. Here we set forth the Mjolnir "constitution." This is our small set of guidelines to help us define ourselves.
Here are some general ones for the public:
Mundane life comes first.
Fun is mandatory- if this ever feels like a job, you need to quit. BUT we work hard at our play...
No chivalry or other SCA allegiances before Mjolnir- we come first.
No SCA awards- our reward is being Us.
If we are hired, we take orders on the field from our employer, not the nearby SCA commander. Once we close a negotiation, we honor it to the best of our ability. We do not switch sides mid-battle.
